Ditte Offersen Lynge

Ditte is a Copenhagen-born writer living in Brooklyn. For the past four years, she has reported across America and the people who live in the space between headlines. She writes, records, and films, telling stories from migrant routes in the Arizona desert to the smoke-tinged edges of wildfires and the quiet pressure of courthouses where futures are decided in silent minutes. Her stories focus on those who rarely speak the loudest — the diner waitress, the mechanic, the single mother, the grandparents raising their grandchildren, the displaced, and the undocumented

She holds a degree in journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism and is a fellow of the M100 Sanssouci Colloquium.

At Woodward, Ditte will be working on a book project about America, following the paths she has crossed while travelling through the country across two administrations. The book weaves together reporting, observation, and personal encounter, tracing a nation through its margins and everyday lives.
