Catherine Ashley

Catherine is a Black multimedia designer, performance artist and educator. With a background in composition, film, projection, theatre, and object-making, Ashley uses storytelling to cultivate spaces for reflection, relation, and repair, moving across live performance, gallery installation, and digital environments. She holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.

At Woodward, Catherine will be focusing on writing and sound systems for the development of her new work, Postures of Return.
