Steven Tran

Steven likes to think that the electronic music he creates - not quite dance-y but not quite ambient - is vast and transportive and evocative.. but he’s definitely open to feedback about that. He's deeply interested in bending genres and form, glitchy and strange and beautiful sounds, and interdisciplinary and technology-forward collaboration.

Yaddo Fellow 2025, VCCA Fellow 2026. DJ/creative director for various events at Bogart House, Brooklyn Art Haus, and Land to Sea. In the not-so-electronic realm, Steven has written, played, orchestrated, and conducted music for musicals, plays, opera, and podcasts; he occasionally works on and off Broadway doing music programming.

At Woodward, Steven will be working on an immersive audio-visual piece for Ableton and piano.
