Gail Tierney
Gail (they/she/he) is a Brooklyn-based writer, actor, comedian, singer, voiceover artist, clown, producer, and ocean policy advocate. Gail would like you to read the remainder of this bio in the voice of David Attenborough.
They received a BFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul and a Master’s in Ecological Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. Comedy is their forever boo, but they’ve been known to dabble in climate organizing, marine habitat restoration, art therapy, and small-scale regenerative agriculture.
Gail thinks a livable planet is somewhat vital to a few things, including the continuation and flourishing of their artistic career, so they split their time, using imagination as a powerful political tool. In the wild, Gail’s natural habitat is a reading fort made entirely of kelp so they can be subsumed by seaweed whilst reading cozy sapphic fantasy, eating breakfast tacos, and listening to the ambient soundtrack of a women’s soccer game.
At Woodward, Gail will be writing their next book with contributions from NYC's funniest clown types & also stone cold science.
