Caroline Johnson

Caroline is a writer, visual artist, award-winning journalist, and educator with a passion for intergenerational and diasporic storytelling. She holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University where she worked as an adjunct professor of fiction. She is a New Yorker of Jamaican descent whose work has been featured in the Brooklyn Caribbean Literary Festival, Democrat and Chronicle, The Ithaca Journal, and Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage’s BlackInk.

At Woodward, she will be working on her first novel focused on a multigenerational story of a Jamaican family.
