Heather von Rohr

Heather is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker and writer with a background in television editing. Her 2025 short film A Bird Came Down—a proof-of-concept for a feature film of the same name—premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival and went on to play New/Next, FilmFort, Tacoma, the Katra Film Series, and other festivals. For her work as a producing editor on Dan Rather Reports, she was nominated for an Emmy Award, and her personal essay, Please, Lord, Let Him Be 27, appeared in the New York Times Modern Love column.

At Woodward, she will be working on her feature screenplay, Mother Warrior, a post-apocalyptic feminist martial arts drama.
