Maco Diaz

Born in Caracas, Venezuela. Maco Diaz is a fashion filmmaker with over a decade of experience directing and crafting visual narratives for fashion brands around the world.

At the core of her creative process lies an intimate connection with her experiences and her perception of the world as a Latin American woman, shaping a visual language rooted in identity, emotion, and storytelling.

She has collaborated with brands such as Vogue México, By Efrain Mogollon, Yenny Bastida, Sloggi, and Anciela London, among others.

Her films have been recognized internationally, earning distinctions at the Latin American Fashion Awards (2023), ASVOFF – A Shaded View on Fashion Film (2020) and Milano Fashion Film Festival (2020).

Through her lens, fashion becomes a language of emotion — where every frame tells a story and beauty reveals meaning.

At Woodward, Maco will be engaged in the post-production of several ongoing video projects, alongside the development and pre-production of a personal short film that examines the notion of home as both a physical and psychological construct. Grounded in themes of migration and her recent integration into New York, the project investigates spatial memory, displacement, and belonging.
