Leslie An

Leslie likes to notice things about people.

Leslie can not for the life of her get away from her feelings.

When she’s not consumed by small, passing, worldly concerns, Leslie loves to make people laugh.

Leslie has started to worry that her affinity for peace and calm will continue to keep her from wringing out the full-bodied chaos of true life and true love before it’s too late.

Leslie should follow her heart more.

Leslie is a hopelessly sincere person wrapped in a Postmodernity Cloak™️.

Leslie is made of old, unyielding movies, reflexive documentaries, feminist rage, bleached flour, and, on a more fundamental level, heartbreak and early 2010s Youtube.

Leslie hopes the ghosts of Kafka, Varda, and Rilke would come over for lentil soup sometime—whenever is convenient for them.

Leslie makes photos and videos, often with a documentary and comedic bent, and is also in a constant state of trying to try to write—which she thinks should count for something.

At Woodward, Leslie will be working on a zine about her TV dinners and an idiosyncratic roundtable series.
