Elizabeth Lawrensen

Elizabeth is a musician and ethnomusicologist. Her synth-pop project Dalahäst leans towards bridging the gap between early-aughts indie-sleaze melodramatic lyrics and the glitchy abject refusal to participate in any culture that adorns itself with the flattery of authenticity. Her academic research focuses on sound studies, hauntology, and sonic dissent. A current project in-the-works is about sonic consent and sonic police presence on the subway.
