Mary DeCarlo

Mary is a writer and performer in Queens, NY. Her work has been published in word west revue, HAD, Identity Theory, Gone Lawn, Capsule Stories and elsewhere. Her story The Summer Before the Glitter Fell Out of My Eyes was selected for Best Small Fictions 2022. Her play Magic Years was a semifinalist for the Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival and her play Echoes of a Hollow Body was presented at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska. At Woodward, she'll be working on a book project about grief and the healing power and great tradition of country music.
