Serena Dominguez

Serena is an illustrator and visual artist hailing from Miami, FL, and currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design and draws inspiration from her late grandmother, Mafalda, a creative polymath who was a skilled jeweler and seamstress. Serena’s art is grounded in her ability to craft elements by hand and seeks to beautify function and observation. Her work spans a variety of mediums, including freehand tufted rugs and fine-point pen drawings. Her illustrations have been published in Vice and Miami New Times, among other outlets. She has also collaborated with UNIQLO, and more recently, the Feminist Birding Club on their upcoming book, set for nationwide release later this year.
