Michael Ford
Michael Ford is a Canadian-American actor, writer, and producer whose acting work spans Hulu, Apple TV+, CBS, NBC, and several indie films, as well as stages across the U.S., Canada, and Edinburgh. He’s also been the face (and hands, and head) of global campaigns from Mountain Dew to cat litter. Michael moved to New York at 17 to cast a wide creative net. Following his training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he adopted a love for developing theatre by working closely with playwrights such as Douglas Carter Beane and John Cariani.
He founded The Actor’s Quarantine Collective (TAQC) during COVID-19 to provide a digital space for actors to meet, share, and read plays both published and new works. He’s thrilled to develop the next chapter of TAQC and complete his personal writing projects over the next few months at Woodward. He invites you to follow along his journey @michaeljcford
At Woodward, Michael will be focusing on finishing a full-length play titled Starr Queen, which is a semi-autobiographical story that is equal parts harsh and heartwarming. This play is a raw, funny, and tender story of survival, clashing personalities, and the unexpected gratitude that grows in the cracks of everyday chaos, ever reminding us to be thankful for the messy love we already have.
