Andrew Sosa Sosanya

Andrew “Sosa” Sosanya is a Brooklyn-based musician and composer whose creative journey began with a serendipitous discovery during the pandemic: finding a trashed acoustic guitar that sparked a transformative musical awakening. What started as YouTubing “How to Play a G Chord” in his apartment evolved into tinkering with hybrid soundscapes, orchestral arrangements, and jam bands.

Sosa’s music explores the themes of his life and imagined worlds through the cinematic lens inspired by iconic video game soundtracks such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and Kingdom Hearts. He also takes inspiration from some of his favorite composers Yoko Kanno, Hania Rani, Ahmad Jamal, Piero Umilani, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. His long-term vision includes recording with a live orchestra and scoring for films and video games.

Across Brooklyn, Sosa is also known for hosting “The Most Casual Recital” series—intimate, judgment-free concerts in community spaces and apartments where emerging and established musicians can share their music.
