Gemma Ruiz Palà

Gemma is a Catalan writer and journalist. She has written three novels, the last of which, Les Nostres Mares (Our Mothers), won Catalonia's most prestigious literary prize. Her work has been translated into Spanish, French, English and Italian.

At Woodward she will be writing and researching her fourth book, a story about a female sculptor from New York invited to exhibit at the Venice Biennale.
