Marco Lanier

Marco is an independent archivist and researcher based in New York City. His work focuses on cultural movements and queer history and seeks to mobilize archives through exhibition and programming. Recent projects include programming the film series ABC No Rio: A Culture of Opposition at Anthology Film Archives, curating the digital exhibit Visualizing Gay Community News at Queer History Boston, and organizing the People's Gardens Walking Tour at The Storefront for Art & Architecture.

At Woodward, Marco will be working on an oral history project that explores the history and politics of the Fort Hill Faggots for Freedom (FHFF), a collective of gay men that established a commune in the Fort Hill neighborhood of Boston in the 1970s.
