Hermona Tamrat

Hermona is an Ethiopian-American composer and songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. Her artistic practice is rooted in (creative) expression as a necessity to the self-actualization of one's humanity. She has performed as a singer-songwriter at several venues across Brooklyn and Manhattan, and composed accompanying score for film, animated poetry, and podcasts. During her residency, Hermona is developing compositions for a piano-centric instrumental EP.
